How it all started…
Ali Arc has been protecting drivers and their vehicles since 1988.
Born from classic Kiwi initiative, Ali Arc was founded by Whanganui man Robert Bartley and remains proudly family-owned and operated by the Bartley family to this day.
Looking at the NZ market for bullbars and vehicle accessories, Rob saw an opportunity to build something better – stronger, smarter, and made right here in Aotearoa. With quality aluminium materials, highly skilled arc-welders, and that classic number-eight-wire spirit, Rob set out to create bullbars that could handle New Zealand’s toughest roads and most demanding drivers.
What started as a small local operation has grown into a nationally and internationally respected name, known for precision aluminium accessories built to last. Ali Arc is proof of what hard work, adaptability, and a commitment to quality can achieve. But through all the growth and change, one thing hasn’t shifted – our respect for tradition. We’re still proud to be local, still strongly connected to our community, and still committed to real workmanship, real people, and real service.
Today, we’re trusted by dealers, installers, fleet managers, and proud vehicle owners across the country. From farmers to tradies, families to motorhome owners – they all come to Ali Arc for gear that fits right, looks sharp, and stands up to whatever the road throws at it.
Our customers count on us to deliver the right fit, every time, for the latest makes and models – backed by the same hands-on craftsmanship and genuine customer care we’ve built our name on. When our customers choose Ali Arc, they’re not talking to a call centre, they’re dealing with real locals and skilled Kiwi experts who know their craft. Our team excels through their customer support, technical advice, and after-sales service.
When you buy from Ali Arc, you’re not just buying a product. You’re buying decades of craft, pride, and the kind of Kiwi know-how that doesn’t cut corners.
Ali Arc Industries is a member of the Bartley Group.
